Boat Tour Sailing YouTube. Playlist There are many boats: sailing monohull boats, motorsailers, catamarans, and trimarans. Before buying my Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40, one of the things I did was watch a lot of content online. I followed lots of different channels on YouTube, including sailing, #Vanlife, and tiny homes. I've always been interested in living an alternative lifestyle and being self-reliant. I started my own YouTube channel in 2024, and one of the playlists has been filming my friends' boats. I like filming the boat tour videos and will add more when I can. People enjoy them along with the interviews, and as I write this blog post in summer 2026, I have filmed the following.

This was one of my main concerns and different boats, different ages and owners have different feedback. One of my most popular videos and what really kicked started my channel was a break down year by year of how much my boat cost. How I purchased the boat, projects that I had done and I will likely do one big job a year and keep an anual update. This years big project is a solar arch on the back of the boat. Last year it was the lithium batteries, bus bar etc. I went with FogStar and Victron for my project.

My Jeanneau is my first boat, I never have purchased anything like this previously so I wasn't too sure. My boat was advertised by BoatShed they have yacht brokers all over the world and my one in Cardiff Wales in the UK was good. For reference the YouTube channels I was binge watching was "living big in a tiny home", "Mav" "Sailing Uma", "Project Atticus" and "Patrick Laine" I actually met sailing Uma at the Southampton boat show 2 years in a row. The first time they had done a Q&A and the second year they had brought Uma to the show. Which we hung out for about 20-30 minutes. #BoatTour
